Cork Week 2016 - 2x places in crew of 5 for Wildebeest 4 a Brenta 24. Boat is great fun seat of the pants racer in asymmetric set up we have yet to fully master. She'll regularly do 11kts downwind and we've had her at 15 in 20 of breeze. Current 3 crew are all seasoned performance dinghy sailors (rs800, 49er, 18ft skiff, rs400 and that's just grant. We are looking for 2 folks to join us for great socials and great racing: experienced and less experienced. Need upfront and early commitment or we don't go.

Imperator: Crew wanted (Getting Started and Experienced)

GBR4300 Imperator is an SJ35 ex 3/4 Tonner Cruiser/Racer. Previous Fastnet Class winner and both a JOG and RORC Yacht of the Year.

Imperator is based at the new Prince Philip Yacht Haven at the RSrnYC with 24/7 access to the Club and local Hamble facilities.

Our 2016 Programme includes the following race series: RSrnYC Inshore Regattas & Passage Races. JOG Offshore Passage Races & RORC Ocean Races (including the new 400nm Ushant race in mid-August).

Special onboard training available in March & April for new crew interested in gaining racing experience, (Imperator style). Early enquiries from keen new crew welcomed.

It is a condition of acceptance by the RSrnYC of any information for posting on the Crew Register that crews and owners/skippers understand that they voluntarily accept all risks associated with participation on any vessel or with any owner or skipper or crew to whom they may be introduced through the Crew Register. By submitting their details each crew and owner/skipper (as the case may be)
(1) acknowledges and agrees that neither the RSrnYC nor any other organising club nor any servant, employee, officer or agent thereof
(i) makes any representation about or otherwise warrants the condition or suitability of any vessel or the competence or suitability of any skipper or crew, or
(ii) accepts any liability for loss of life or injury to any person or loss or damage to any vessel, equipment or other property, and
(2) confirms that he / she has understands that:
"The Safety of a yacht and her crew is the sole and inescapable responsibility of the owner, or owner's representative who must do his best to ensure that the yacht is fully found, thoroughly seaworthy and manned by an experienced crew who have undergone appropriate training and are physically fit to face bad weather.
Owner must be satisfied as to the soundness of hull, spars, rigging, sails and all gear.
Owner must ensure that all safety equipment is properly maintained and stowed and that the crew know where it is kept and how it is to be used."
Thunderbird & Imperator 2017
Rupert (Farr 40 Thunderbird) and Paul (SJ35 Imperator) have joined forces to run a combined campaign in 2017 majoring on the RSrnYC Regattas and Passage Races plus JOG Cat 3 and Cat 4 races.
Let us know if you would like to race onboard a 'Class 1' racing machine and/or a 3/4 Ton traditional racer/cruiser.
