Welcome Youth Sailing at the RSrnYC - Home of Junior Cadets & Splashers
The programme is aimed at providing fun and adventure on the water for children of all ages and abilities. There is great emphasis on family fun and involvement.
For both the JCs and the Splashers there will be a Youth rally every month from April until September where children can learn to row, sail, try racing tactics or just play around in and on the water. Read Full Overview Article Here

  OEC on Lake Garda - Annabel Vose is Top GBR Sailor in Youth Sailing Reports

Optimist European Championships on Lake Garda
Annabel is currently competing in the Optimist European Championships on Lake Garda. Each country sends their top 3 girls and 4 boys. A total of 237 competitors from 38 countries including sailors from New Zealand, Japan and North America.
She is currently lying 18th overall after 7 races. The first 5 were in very light and tricky winds, today the Ora kicked in (Force 5) and she scored a 8th and 10th. Still 3 days of racing to go, so fingers crossed! We are flying out tomorrow morning so will try and keep you informed.
A few weekends ago she won the Southern Area Championships, the 1st girl ever to win this event. Previous winners include Ian Percy and Chris Draper both Olympians.
Update
Annabel continued to improve in the fresher winds and managed top 10 results in over half the series.  She finished the regatta  14th overall and top GBR sailor.  
This was the best result of any GBR sailor at the Europeans for many years.  Being a selected event means that only the top 3 girls and 4 boys from each country can attend so 14th was a very respectable result.   (We are hoping for some new pictures to be available later this week).
