I am an Australian looking to relocate to the Solent and am looking to continue and expand my sailing in the UK. I have a high level of experience in dinghy and sportsboat racing (competed in numerous state and national champs) and have competed in a number of Cat 1 and 2 offshore races in Aus, including the 2016 Sydney to Hobart. I am looking to relocate to the UK in March/April. I am interested in competing in the 2017 Fastnet race, Cowes Race week and as many races I can. I am young, fit and keen to get well into my sailing over in the UK. Regards, Thomas

I am new arrived to the Solent but so excited to sail. I have a good experience in dinghy racing (optimist sailor for more than 6 years and laser sailor for 3 years), racing in National (in my country, Spain) and International races. But also been sailing in yacht racing like J80 (as trimmer & tactician and as skipper), first 40.7 (bowman and tactician), X-41 (trimmer) and also in cruise yachts. Personally I really enjoy offshore racing, though also enjoy shore racing. I want to sail in the Solent so I can continue racing and also to improve my english. In addition, I am currently studying "yacht and powercraft design" at the Solent University.

Thanks!! Wish you a smooth sailing!

Hello Everybody,
I am looking for opportunities to get on the water in Solent and gain some experience of yacht racing. I got Yachtmaster Off-Shore and around 20.000nm under my belt, mostly cruising though, and therefore eager to do some racing!
Back in Southampton area since few weeks for my university studies (doing yacht design course at the Southampton Solent University) after working the summer in lovely Corwall on a wooden boat project.
I am interested in Hamble Winter Series and beyond, will be around the area at least until next May. Could possibly help with the maintenance as well since been playing around with boats quite a bit over last years! ;)
Sailing CV available upon request! ;)

Thanks a lot and best wishes,

Experienced Solent racing navigator and qualified YM seeks competitive boat with podium potential. Competed in numerous Solent series and regattas in IRC and one-design with regular podium finishes plus offshore incl successful Fastnet campaigns.
Active racer who can also trim and generally work around the boat - not a nav who sits at the back! Committed for Warsash Spring Series & Champs but interested in other (primarily in-shore) racing opportunities in 2016 both in the UK and overseas. Nick - 07843511709

I am studying Navigation and Maritime Science in Plymouth. I have done lots of racing and cruising. Looking for more experience and maybe some offshore stuff. I am comfortable in any position on a boat but best suit bow due to being light or acting as a trimmer/float with a good knowledge of sailing. I am used to sailing in large fleets of dinghies and crowded start lines with yachts. I am available at relatively short notice (Ideally a week would be good). Mainly weekends but can manage a few weeks in the summer if the timing is right.

Hello All, I am looking for the boat to join in for the Spring Series 2016 and beyond. Got Yachtmaster Off-Shore and around 20,000nm experience up to 100ft boats, mostly off-shore/ocean sailing. Not much racing experience though, and therefore really keen on getting some!
Available at least until June and for sure again in next autumn as I am studying (Yacht Design/Naval Architecture at the Southampton Solent University) and living in Southampton (also possibly during the summer if end up finding work on Southampton area). Also qualified boat-builder since several years, so probably could help on maintenance issues as well. Can send a sailing CV on request, don´t hesitate to get in touch if your boat is short of crew, cheers!

Hi, I'm 18 and studying yacht design in Solent university. I'm a sailor, having spent the last ten years cruising nearly around the world on a 54 foot monohull and also sail dinghies. I have been doing about three seasons of racing in New Zealand and New Caledonia on 25 to 50 foot boats and look forward to keep going here in the Solent ! I am not a top level racer, but I can do any position once I know the boat and I enjoy learning all the different ways of sailing particular to every skipper. I am a young, fit and enthusiastic sailor. I attained my Yachtmasters Offshore commercially endorsed this summer, and I have been working as a freelance skipper in the Solent. Team Racing at University of Bristol sparked my love of racing, and I have tried to get involved in as much yacht racing as possible - BUSA Yachting Nationals (Navigator, Trim), RTIR (Navigator, 5th in class), Cowes Week (various), and I am currently racing on Ocean Leopard in the Parhelion Series as Navigator/Tactician. I am an all-rounder, and I am keen to take on positions in all areas of the boat. I'm committed, hardworking and show initiative. I'm also looking to join on an ARC crossing and compete in the regattas over in the Caribbean this season. Mobile: 07855304389

I am an experienced crew member but with 2 year gap in sailing, sadly due to too much work.
Finally I saw the light and gave the 18-hour days a boot, so now have more time to get back to sailing.
I have previously raced in Cowes Week many times, all of the Caribbean regattas, Les Voiles des St. Tropez, Sardinia Swan World Cup and Round the Island, as well as few corporate events including a race with Team GB in 2012, where our boat won.
I am comfortable on winches, trimming sails and / or a spinnaker and need a little bit of direction, since it has been a while. I am happy to join in to any action.
I am 40, fit & slim, so move fast around the boat and I love the banter and the social part of sailing as well.
If you need an eager crew member, I have just moved to Esher, so I can come for an evening race at a relatively short notice and happy to commit to a season of sailing.
My deck shoes are itching to get that deck wood under their soles again:).
Please feel free to drop me a line here or directly to my email address above, or call my mobile on: 07580 985 839

Available to crew on Saturdays and most Friday evenings. 5'10", 9 stone. Chandlers Ford resident.

I have been out of racing for a few years and am now delighted to be in a position to get back to it. I would love to race keelboats and would welcome any opportunity to do so. I have been out cruising a few times recently and missed the buzz of competition acutely!

Grew up racing dinghies at Medway YC and Queen Mary SC, helming own boats and crewing for others.
Raced (helm) in RCYC Burnham Squib fleet for several years, including Burnham Weeks. Big boat experience cruising parents' Omega 34 along east coast and over to Netherlands several times, plus flotilla holidays. Typically for ex-racers, we never lost the habit of coaxing the best possible performance out of her through endless sail trimming!
